About Volt Moose
I work out what an electric car costs to run before you sign for one. The sums are public, and every number names its source.
I'm Pavel Ryzhikh. Volt Moose is part of the Future Begins network. I read price lists, WLTP sheets, wallbox manuals and other people's test results, then put them in one table.
What I don't do
I don't drive these cars for you. Nothing here is a road test, and no sentence on this site says otherwise. When a real-world figure appears, it belongs to the outlet that measured it, named in the sentence and linked under the article.
Rated or measured
A figure from a maker's WLTP sheet is called rated. A figure from a test names the test. The calculator starts from the rated figure and adds a percentage you can see and change, because a rated figure on its own flatters every car.
Prices
Each price comes from a maker's or a store's own page, in euros, with the country and the date beside it. Car prices differ across Europe, so I'd check yours. Models whose price I couldn't read that way stay off the site until I can. Subsidies and dealer discounts aren't in the number.
Money
Some links can pay me a commission. The disclosure page has the details. The calculator has no idea which ones.
Why a moose
The Nordic elk road sign and the high-voltage sign are the same yellow triangle. It was that or a lightning bolt with a face.
